Frozen

There is something about that really great feeling you get when all you can do is freeze, moving nowhere in time or space, as to not disturb the excellence of that precise moment. When two old fashioned lovers who haven't seen each other in months but had hearts burning for desire with minds engulfed in passion. The woman who had been prepping for weeks making sure she was flawless at his return and the gentleman who thought and dreamed so much he couldn't care less of his appearance. The moment when they finally embrace, their world goes quiet only allowing room for the sound of breathing and their sensory overload leaving only the scent of the woman's fragrance tattooed in their memory. Their abilities, vulnerabilities, dreams, nightmares, and memories completely stop. In that moment nothing matters. When artists, writers, musicians, and all creative connoisseurs drown themselves, without a care of even the importance of oxygen, in that fabulous, yet knowingly, almost teasing, spark of creativity, they stop everything in their control (living, loving, and laughing) to complete their masterpiece.

They create masterpieces, we cannot deny them of that. Their world must shut down at that point in order to create an irreplaceable piece of art or a memory that would only be spoiled by the drunkenness of the sailors return. If we asked the lover and the artist to recall the euphoric feelings they had in those moments, they would for at least second, have to remove themselves again in order to fully recall the memory. The artist may simply remember the completion, looking up and seeing their art as almost perfect to what they had in their mind. Lovers may close their eyes and recall some noises, scents, the pressure of a hug, but not every detail.

Aye Aye Soldier
I look at ambition the same way. It is a delicate task to embrace our ambitions. We cannot chase it or it will lead us onto a wrong path and we cannot grasp it because it will disintegrate in our hands. It is like a wave on the shore. It is an inconsistent wave of passion, that takes us a step further to our life long goals. Even though we are constantly taking baby steps, which are far more important than none at all, those baby steps only take us so far. We withdraw for a moment in time to focus on our ambitions but, what separates us from others is when that temporary spark loses it's flame, we continue humping up our mountains and trudging through the waters without the spark, eagerly awaiting its return.

Hold onto your Dreams.
