3 reasons why I need you to be more ambitious...
Society needs you
I can list many things that need improvement from women and the first
that comes to mind is fast food chains. Why haven't one of you ladies created a
super organic healthy fast food chain. As a mom myself, I would love to stop at
a fast, organically healthy food spot. Especially, after a long day at the park or in
between school and ballet. I know, I know why haven't I. Well first of all owning a food business is currently not my dream (maybe someday). I know that out of 150 million American women there is a woman out there who dreams of owning a healthy restaurant and may already have plans in hand. Using the words of feminist and Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg, (who by the way is worth 1 billion dollars), "Lean In! " and please make us a quick healthy place to eat. Now of course that isn't the only thing society needs from women we need Police Officers, Doctors, CEO's to create jobs that cater to women's needs (notice I said needs), Presidents, and I'm sure you are all thinking of so much more. Yes, according to Forbes, women have out numbered men in college, but we are still behind in the career world. Let's get to it!
Our children need you
Women if we don't show our children how to be ambitious we are going to be leaving our world full of people who are not living up to their potential.

When you look back on your life, you want to feel like you have lived! Don't waste too many years of your life living in a world that belongs to someone else. Set goals, reach them, and set new ones. Make this your world and make it a better place for the future. Your future self is relying on you.
While your living ambitiously don't forget to stop and create intentional relationships!
While your living ambitiously make friends on the way! I was talking with a woman at my favorite restaurant who has aged beautifully, what she advised my friend and I was to make sure we made friends and kept them. She said to invest in your friendships because once you reach old age, that is all you have. The beautiful woman spoke wonderfully of her neighbor who had her over for dinners and called her to say hi throughout the week. She said, if she didn't have that she would be alone and no one would even be there to check on her. Friends are important for men and women. Make them, forgive them, trust them, and most of all, love them.
